Laid off this week, where do I start? - 3 months and counting

I lost my job as a medical assistant and I am not sure what to do first. Any experience at all would help. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
