Laid off this week, where do I start?

I was let go as a forklift operator this week and I am still in shock. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
