Laid off this week, where do I start? - 22 weeks in

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 12 of us were let go. I had been there 12 years. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Which steps were urgent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
