Laid off this week, where do I start? - 21 weeks in

I was let go as an IT help-desk technician this week and I am still in shock. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
