Laid off this week, where do I start? - 14 months and counting

I lost my job as a mechanic and I am not sure what to do first. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
