Laid off this week, where do I start? - 12 months and counting

I lost my job as a welding apprentice and I am not sure what to do first. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
