Laid off this week, where do I start? - 10 months and counting

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 8 of us were let go. I had been there 8 years. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
