Just got laid off, what should I do first? - what worked for you?

They called a meeting on Friday and 16 of us were let go. I had been there 16 years. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have not told my family yet.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
