Just got laid off, what should I do first? - what worked for you?

I was let go as an administrative assistant this week and I am still in shock. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
