Just got laid off, what should I do first? - what worked for you?

They called a meeting on Thursday and 10 of us were let go. I had been there 10 years. I worked as a copywriter before this. I have not told my family yet.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
