Just got laid off, what should I do first? - what worked for you?

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 8 of us were let go. I had been there 8 years. It has been a long 15 weeks. I have not told my family yet.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
