Just got laid off, what should I do first? - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a copywriter and I am not sure what to do first. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
