Just got laid off, what should I do first? (update)

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 18 of us were let go. I had been there 18 years. There are 18 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
