Just got laid off, what should I do first? (update)

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 15 of us were let go. I had been there 15 years. I am in Spokane, in case local advice matters. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
