Just got laid off, what should I do first? (update)

I lost my job as a forklift operator and I am not sure what to do first. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
