Just got laid off, what should I do first? (St. Louis)

I lost my job as a home health aide and I am not sure what to do first. I am in St. Louis, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
