Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Spokane)

They called a meeting on Thursday and 18 of us were let go. I had been there 18 years. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
