Just got laid off, what should I do first?, mechanic here

I was let go as a mechanic this week and I am still in shock. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
