Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Madison)

I was let go as an event coordinator this week and I am still in shock. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
