Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Kansas City)

I lost my job as a dental hygienist and I am not sure what to do first. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
