Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Kansas City)

I lost my job as a bank teller and I am not sure what to do first. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
