Just got laid off, what should I do first?, hotel front-desk agent here

They called a meeting on Friday and 7 of us were let go. I had been there 7 years. It has been a long 2 weeks. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
