Just got laid off, what should I do first? - first time posting

I lost my job as an accountant and I am not sure what to do first. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
