Just got laid off, what should I do first? - first time posting

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 18 of us were let go. I had been there 18 years. It has been weighing on me all week. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
