Just got laid off, what should I do first? - first time posting

I was let go as a janitorial supervisor this week and I am still in shock. It has been a long 22 weeks. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
