Just got laid off, what should I do first? - first time posting

I was let go as a home health aide this week and I am still in shock. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
