Just got laid off, what should I do first? - first time posting

I was let go as a teaching assistant this week and I am still in shock. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
