Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Detroit)

They called a meeting on Thursday and 10 of us were let go. I had been there 10 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
