Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Boise)

I was let go as an insurance claims processor this week and I am still in shock. It has been a long 25 weeks. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
