Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Birmingham)

I was let go as an insurance claims processor this week and I am still in shock. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
