Just got laid off, what should I do first? (Baltimore)

I was let go as a machine operator this week and I am still in shock. Any experience at all would help. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
