Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

I lost my job as a quality inspector and I am not sure what to do first. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
