Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

I lost my job as a janitorial supervisor and I am not sure what to do first. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
