Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 7 of us were let go. I had been there 7 years. It has been a long 5 weeks. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
