Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

I lost my job as a recruiter and I am not sure what to do first. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
