Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 17 of us were let go. I had been there 17 years. I am in Richmond, in case local advice matters. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
