Just got laid off, what should I do first? - any advice?

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 3 of us were let go. I had been there 3 years. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
