Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 8 years as a retail manager

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 8 of us were let go. I had been there 8 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
