Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 8 years as a call-centre agent

I lost my job as a call-centre agent and I am not sure what to do first. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
