Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 7 years as an IT help-desk technician

They called a meeting on Friday and 7 of us were let go. I had been there 7 years. It has been a long 19 weeks. I have not told my family yet.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
