Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 7 years as a mechanic

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 7 of us were let go. I had been there 7 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
