Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 7 years as a marketing coordinator

I was let go as a marketing coordinator this week and I am still in shock. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
