Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 7 years as a machine operator

I was let go as a machine operator this week and I am still in shock. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
