Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 16 years as an accountant

They called a meeting on Friday and 16 of us were let go. I had been there 16 years. It has been a long 21 weeks. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
