Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 15 years as an insurance claims processor

I lost my job as an insurance claims processor and I am not sure what to do first. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
