Just got laid off, what should I do first? after 12 years as a warehouse supervisor

They called a meeting on Friday and 12 of us were let go. I had been there 12 years. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
