Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 8 months and counting

I lost my job as a barista and I am not sure what to do first. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.
