Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 6 months and counting

They called a meeting on Monday and 9 of us were let go. I had been there 9 years. It has been weighing on me all week. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
