Just got laid off, what should I do first? - 6 months and counting

I was let go as an electrician's helper this week and I am still in shock. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
