Just got laid off, what should I do first?

I was let go as an insurance claims processor this week and I am still in shock. It has been a long 2 weeks. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
